We apply the skills we learned putting deals together for big public companies to deals for smaller, family-owned businesses. We take the breadth and depth of experience we gained representing real estate investment trusts, public companies, and national homebuilders, and apply that to each one of the small businesses with which we work. There's a thrill that comes with closing a $400 million deal, but it is nothing like helping business owners secure a future for their families and the community. When we can help our clients maximize the value of their business and keep them safe, we like to take some credit for their ability to buy that second (or third) home and comfortably put all of their kids through college. At its core, law is a helping profession. It feels good to help people build something great.
